Vernon T. Jones Jr. is a managing director, Energy in HSSK’s Houston office. In his role, he works with clients in the energy realm involved with transactions, restructurings and resolution of disputes.

Mr. Jones brings nearly four decades of firsthand knowledge to his position with HSSK, including 15 years of direct energy industry work. His diverse career includes extensive experience in bankruptcy, reorganization proceedings and financial forensics. Throughout his time in management consulting, Mr. Jones has seen clients through energy markets restructuring such as deregulation and commoditization, particularly in relation to natural gas and power.

Mr. Jones obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining HSSK and re-establishing his consulting practice, he served as principal at Charles River Associates International, director for Grant Thornton LLP’s litigation and reorganization practices, and as director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Energy Strategic Advisory Services.
