Vernon T. Jones Jr. HSSK is pleased to announce Vernon T. Jones Jr. has joined the professional services firm as a managing director, Energy, in the firm’s Dispute Advisory & Forensics practice. In his new role, he will work with clients in the energy realm involved with transactions, restructurings and resolution of disputes.

Jones brings nearly four decades of firsthand knowledge to his position with HSSK, including 15 years of direct energy industry work. His diverse career includes extensive experience in in bankruptcy, reorganization proceedings and financial forensics. Throughout his time in management consulting, Jones has seen clients through energy markets restructuring such as deregulation and commoditization, particularly in relation to natural gas and power.

Jones obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining HSSK, he served as principal at Charles River Associates International, director for Grant Thornton LLP’s litigation and reorganization practices, and as director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Energy Strategic Advisory Services.

He described his transition to HSSK as an opportunity to lend his experience to a firm with a long and respected history.

“I’m excited to help the firm build a more specialized practice serving the energy industry,” he said. “I think this will be a strong partnership.”
