HSSK is pleased to announce Thi Tra has returned to the professional services firm as a manager in the company’s Houston Dispute Advisory and Forensics practice. In her new role, Tra carries out complex analyses and prepares comprehensive presentations relating to various client engagements.

A certified public accountant and fraud examiner who also maintains certification in financial forensics, Tra brings valued experience to her position. Past work includes time as an audit associate for Ernst & Young Vietnam, and a prior senior associate position with HSSK. Most recently, Tra served as senior associate with Kansas-based CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, where she provided agreed-upon procedures, assurance and litigation consulting services to clients.

Her career includes work with foreign and domestic markets, and with clients spanning a wide range of specialties. Tra offers firsthand knowledge in areas such as examination and analysis of financial reports, asset tracing, damage liability estimates and identification of financial risks.

A native of Vietnam, Tra earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She later obtained a master’s degree in accounting and management information systems from the same university.

She called her return to HSSK a positive move, as the firm maintains a long and respected reputation.

“Nothing is better than doing the right type of work with the right people,” she said. “HSSK has competent and experienced experts who can effectively address the most complicated business litigation issues. I am very happy to be back, and to see the firm continuing to grow.”

Marc Schwartz, HSSK’s president and leader of the firm’s Dispute Advisory and Forensics practice, said he looks forward to what lies ahead with Tra on the team.

“At HSSK, we pride ourselves on serving as the expert source our clients need when they’re taking on the important issues that could very well determine their companies’ future,” he said. “Thi’s diverse background and experience in the accounting, auditing and litigation realms makes her the full package. She’s a true asset not only to HSSK, but to the clients we serve.”
